Charles Frederick Godejohn

Charles Frederick Godejohn, age 73 and a resident of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2013 in Humble, Texas. He was born November 25, 1939 in Montgomery County, Texas to parents Bosie and Elsie Godejohn. He loved hunting, fishing, working with his cattle, and spending time with his family. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and steadfast friend. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 40 years Lillie Godejohn; both parents Bosie and Elsie Godejohn; brother H.A. Godejohn, sisters Juanita Boles, Vera Stripland, and Elaine Smith, daughter-in-law Lonelda Godejohn; and his great-grandchild Ryleigh Wells. Survivors include his sons Ronald “Stoney” Godejohn and Kevin Godejohn; daughters Sandra Wells and husband Mark, Kim Swan and husband Lonnie; brother Mike Godejohn; sisters Doris Wolfe and JoAnne Hedgecock; grandchildren Michael, Brad, Shelly, Deidra, Bryan, Justin, Jennifer, Cody, Kelli, Anthony, Cory, Brittany, and Cayla; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other cherished family members and faithful friends. Visitation will be held Sunday, October 20, 2013, 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Bro. George Hayden will preside over funeral services being held Monday, October 21, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at Pace-Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas with interment following at Oak Shade Cemetery. Pallbearers include Michael Wells, Brad Wells, Bryan Wells, Justin Wells, Anthony Brooks, Cody Wells, and Cory Godejohn; honorary pallbearers include Mark Wells, Lonnie Swan and Billy Brooks.
