Charles Selmer Foxworth, born on July 22, 1945, in Laurel, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2024, in Dayton. He was a retired welder from the construction industry, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and dedication that spanned years.
Charles will be remembered fondly for his love of fishing, a hobby that brought him great joy and relaxation. He was also an avid collector of guns and knives, a testament to his appreciation for craftsmanship and artistry. In addition to his pursuits, Charles cherished the time spent playing baseball with his daughters during their formative years, creating lasting memories that his family will forever hold dear.
Being a resident of Dayton for the last three years, he had previously lived in Huffman and Point Blank.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Darlene Bradbery, and his four daughters, Tammy Murphy, Celina Foxworth, Charlotte Foxworth, and Konnie Walton. Also grieving his loss are his step-daughter, Talisa Hughes, along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of family members and friends who were touched by his warm spirit.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney Arter Foxworth and Effie Jane Lovett Foxworth, who surely welcomed him with open arms. His family takes comfort in knowing that he is at peace and will always be a cherished part of their lives.
