Charles Dennis “Chad” White, age 37 of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Monday, April 17, 2017. He was born August 7, 1979 in Houston, Texas to parents Charles Floyd White, Jr. and Gayla Wars White.
Chad was a U.S. Army veteran, 101st Airborne, and served in both Afghanistan and Iraq receiving numerous commendations including Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal (2nd Award), Army Good Conduct Medal (2nd Award), National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, and Aircraft Crewman Badge.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ernest McCollum, Charles Floyd White, Sr. and Valasta Brandon White.
Survivors include his parents, Charles and Gayla White; grandmother, Melba Phelps McCollum; daughter, Molly Anne White; son, Aaron Andrew White; sister, Lauren Ashley White; brothers, Aaron K. White and John Wesley White; cousin, Luke Prentiss; aunt, Charlene V. White Garcia, and uncle, John Wars, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Interment will be at Houston National Cemetery at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 14, 2017.
