Cecil "Murdock" Murphy

Cecil “Murdock” Murphy, age 69, of Romayor, Texas, passed away Monday, July 5, 2010. He was born December 25, 1940 in Romayor, Texas to Roy and Willamore Murphy who preceded him in death along with his grandchild, Sgt. Michael Taylor; brothers, Gerald Murphy and Herschel Murphy. Survivors include his daughter, Stephanie Marie Murphy Tompkins and husband, Curtis, Cecil Anthony Murphy and wife, Carrie, Adam Murphy and wife, Tina, Mark Murphy, Phillip Murphy, Clayton Lyle, and Clinton Lyle; brothers, Larry Murphy, Earl Murphy, Charles Murphy; grandchildren, Ashlee Higginbotham, Lil Adam Murphy, Tyler Murphy, Justin Taylor, Davina Taylor, Anthony J. Murphy; great-grandchildren, Lilliana Richards, Brendan Taylor, David Taylor, and Sadie Taylor; numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving and caring family members and treasured friends throughout the years. Visitation will be held at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Wednesday, July 7, 2010, 5:00-8:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held Thursday, July 8, 2010, 10:00 a.m. at Concord Cemetery, Rye, Texas. Pallbearers include Adam Murphy, Larry Murphy, Phillip Murphy, Clarence Hilton, Earl Murphy, Chara King; honorary pallbearers, Lil Adam Murphy and Tyler Murphy.
