Cecil F. Wagner, 82, of Conroe, died Friday, December 26, 2014, at the Conroe Health Care Center in Conroe.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens in Cleveland. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland.
Cecil was born May 18, 1932 in Faxon, Oklahoma, to parents; Cecil H. and Stella M. McFatridge Wagner; a former resident of Florida, and has resided in Conroe for the past 8 years. He received his BA in Theology from the Baptist Bible College, was a retired pastor, and member of Mims Baptist Church. He also enjoyed church activities, gospel music, wood working, football, and especially spending time with family.
Mr. Wagner was preceded in death by his parents and brother: W. J. Wagner. He is survived by his wife of 63 years: Jean Miller Wagner of Conroe, sons: Mike Wagner and wife Mary of New Mexico, Tom Wagner and wife Vicki of Florida, Donald Wagner and wife Patricia of North Carolina, and Jon Wagner of Florida, daughter: Becci Mach and husband Dan of Conroe, sisters: Evelyn Chenoweth of Oklahoma, Bernice Overman of North Carolina, and Lavella Shaw of Missouri, 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, his loving bird: Bindy, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
