Catherine LaVonne “Cathy” Sparks Craig, 59, of Dayton, died Wednesday, August 5, 2015, at the San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Sunday, August 23, 2015, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton, with services concluding thereafter. Arrangements are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Cathy was born November 6, 1955 in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, to parents; Cooper Lee, Sr. and Catherine King Sparks, a former resident of Wilmington, North Caroline and has resided in Dayton for the past 8 years. Cathy was a homemaker and enjoyed visiting with her family, friends and kids. She loved sunsets. Mrs. Craig was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Ron Craig and brothers: Cooper Lee Sparks, Jr. and John Sparks. She is survived by her daughters: Rebecca Miller and husband Jim and Lucinda Crocker Sims and husband Jeff, brothers: Chuck Sparks and Walter Sparks, grandchildren: Brad Miller, Jason Sims, David Krohn, Johnathan Miller, Anastacia Miller, James Gray, Kindra Wood, Thomas Gray, and Cody Gray, great-grandchildren: Logan Keith Miller, Leti Grace Miller, Eli Gray, Rae Lynn Wood, and Maddi Gray, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
