Carroll Douglas Gandy

Carroll D. “Doug” Gandy, 58, of Dayton, died Monday, April 13, 2015, at the University Hospital in San Antonio. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 18, 2015, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, at the Old Hardin Cemetery in Kountze. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Doug was born December 25, 1956 in Kountze, to parents; Walter Ray and Winnie Nell Bryant Gandy, a former resident of Pasadena, and has resided in Dayton for the past 29 years. He was a graduate of the Sam Rayburn High School class of 1975, had attended San Jacinto Community College, a retired technician from Exxon-Mobil, and member of Eagle Heights Fellowship. Doug also participated with the Dayton Young Farmers, Eastgate 4H, Texas Young Farmers, Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, and the Trinity Valley Exposition. He enjoyed travel, fishing, and hunting. Mr. Gandy was preceded in death by his parents and brother: Tim Gandy. He is survived by his wife of 30 years: Donna Johnson Gandy of Dayton, daughter: Sabrina Bush and husband Matt of Dayton, sons: David Holloway and wife Nicole of Baytown, Bobby Loun of Baytown, and Joey Kelley of Dayton, brother: Larry Gandy of Lake Jackson, sisters: Wendy Kruta of Oklahoma, Ann Perkins of Oklahoma, and Patricia Inman of Baytown, grandchildren: Tyler, Elizabeth, Allen, Avery, Rylen, Aubrei, Chandler, Mason, Kendall, and Mackenzie, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
