Carolyn Sue Vann

Carolyn Sue Vann, age 72 of Houston, Texas, passed away Friday, October 13, 2017. She was born in Houston, Texas to parents W.D. and Alma Vann who preceded her in death along with her brother, Willie Everitt Vann.

She is survived by her aunts, Mrs. Ina Alsobrooks and Mrs. Betty Young; cousins, Betty Noble Bowen, David E. Noble, Shirley, Barbara, Jerry and Wesley Alsobrooks, Royce, Nolan and Alice Everitt and numerous other cousins and friends; and longtime friend, Robert Burlingame.

Carolyn was raised in Calvary Baptist Church, Cleveland, Texas, and after moving to Houston, she was active in the West University Baptist Church, as a member of the Senior Citizen’s Sunday School Department. She was a secretary for various companies, before working at Macy’s the last 15 years of her career. Carolyn was also a Girl Scout Leader, and active in the local AARP Chapter.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 20, 2017 at Calvary Baptist Church, Cleveland, Texas. Services will follow starting at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 20, 2017 at Calvary Baptist Church, Cleveland, Texas. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Cleveland, Texas.
