Carolyn Sandra Cameron

Carolyn Sandra Cameron, age 82 of Porter, Texas passed away on Friday, October 28, 2022. She was born July 17, 1940, in Huntsville, Texas to parents R.W. Hall and Bonita Jenkins, both preceded her in death.

Carolyn graduated from Pasadena High School. In 1958 she met and married Jerry Cameron and they settled in Deer Park where Carolyn spent those early married years devoted to raising her children. Some years later they made the move to Tarkington Prairie and Carolyn began her career at Tarkington ISD. She retired after 17 years of service. While on the Prairie they opened Cameron’s Grocery Store which was located directly across from the school and was a favorite lunch stop for staff and students alike. After retiring they moved to Port Neches to be near family and recently moved to the Kingwood area to be near family there. Carolyn was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be deeply missed by those who loved her.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Jerry Cameron; sons, Mark Cameron and wife Beth, Jeff Cameron and wife Paula; daughter, Kim Keith and husband Marc; grandsons Jeremy Cameron and wife Tara, Joshua Cameron and wife Hailey, Colin Cameron, Chris Cameron, and Dakota Cameron, Kyle Keith and wife Amanda, Cameron Keith and wife Megan; granddaughter Caylah LaRock and husband Greg; great grandchildren Grant Cameron, Harrison Cameron, Kaleb LaRock, Isaiah Barboza, Aubrie Cameron, Elijah Ruiz, Kline Keith, Katherine Keith, Knox Keith and baby boy Keith; along with many other loving family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 5, 2022 from 1:00pm – 4:00pm at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland, Texas. A private family service is planned for a later date. For those desiring, a donation may made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis, TN
