Carolyn Faye McGee

Carolyn McGee, 72, passed away on October 5th, 2024 in Cleveland, Texas. Carolyn was born to proud parents William and Mamie Price in Corpus Christi, Texas on November 13th, 1951. 

Carolyn was a huge country music fan, with George Strait holding a special place in her heart. She also had an adventurous side, and enjoyed going to the casino, shopping at flea markets, and bidding at auctions. A very loving individual, she always poured her heart into making others feel cared for. Carolyn was devoted to her family, and especially had a soft spot for her grandbabies and great-grandbabies. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, William Price and Mamie Price. 

Carolyn is survived by a large and loving family, including her beloved husband, Leon McGee; children, James Schultea and wife Toni, David Schultea and wife Belinda, William Schultea and wife Britney, Johnny McGee and wife April, Mamie McGee and husband Jesse; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A visitation for Carolyn will be held at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland, Texas on Wednesday, October 9th from 5-7pm. Her funeral service will be on Thursday, October 10th at 10am in the Pace-Stancil Chapel in Cleveland, Texas. The burial will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park in Cleveland, Texas. Serving as pallbearers will be James Schultea, David Schultea, William Schultea, Johnny McGee, David Schultea Jr., Mamie McGee; honorary pallbearers for the service are Jesse Harris and Steve Cargle.
