Carol Kay “Me Me†Hooker, 64, of Cleveland passed away, Tuesday July 22, 2014 at her home. She was born October 4, 1949 in Longview, Gregg County, Texas to parents Ralph Ray Secrest and Opal Beatrice Burnette Secrest. She was a homemaker and had been a resident of Cleveland for 8 years. Carol had formerly lived in Augusta, Georgia. “Me Meâ€, as she was lovingly referred to by her grandchildren, loved the outdoors and fishing. She enjoyed gardening and was especially fond of flowers. Carol enjoyed spending time with her family. Visitation will be Friday July 25, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home. Services for Mrs. Hooker will be Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel. Pallbearers will be Richard Downes, Stephen Graham, Richard Bokemeyer, Buckey Coburn, Robert Bokemeyer, III, Jason Daniels, Max Dean Loerch and Bubba Coburn. Honorary pallbearers: Montie Graham, Tracy Graham, Gene Bokemeyer, Cody Clements, Johnny Graham, Jr., Chandler Shoemaker and Randall Currie. Mrs. Hooker was preceded in death by: her parents: Ralph Secrest and Opal Beatrice Burnette McDaniel; sisters: Barbara Graham and Glenda Loerch and brother: Jimmy Secrest. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Bernard Leroy Hooker, Jr.; daughters: Shannon Downes and husband, Richard and Deborah Clements; son: Bernard Lee Hooker, III and wife, Anna; grandchildren: Brittany Hooker, Matthew Hooker, Chandler Shoemaker, Tyler Shoemaker, Cody Clements, Alana Bedgood and Jonathon Bedgood; numerous nieces, nephews, a host of other loving family members and friends.
