Carol Christine Thacker

Carol Christine Thacker maiden name Meyers, born July 16, 1952 passed away on January 9, 2023 at 70 years old. Carol was preceded in death by her grandmothers Alice Adams and Lora Jennings, mother Christine Meyers and sister Patti Grable. Carol is survived by husband David Thacker, son Bryan Thacker with fiancée Heather Corcorran and daughter Lilly, brother David Meyers with wife Angie Meyers and their kids, father Jackie Meyers and nieces Angel, Amanda, Jennifer and their kids.

Carol was first born of three at St. Joseph Hospital in Houston, Tx. She had a wonderful childhood and helped to raise her younger siblings. Soon after leaving school, she would move in with her grandmother where she would eventually meet her forever husband David. Carol and David would marry on October 20, 1978 and five years later welcome their son Bryan to the family. Carol was a devoted loving wife and mother, but also knew how to lay down the law! Carol would spend years babysitting most of whom she started keeping as infants until they were in high school and no longer needed a sitter. However, those babies would continue visiting long after being in her care because she treated them as her own and loved them all very much. Most of her free time she spent cross stitching which was her favorite hobby or devising some way to team up with her sister to play cards on the internet. Her later years would come with a fair share of medical issues that seemed to keep her in the hospital for long stretches, but that never kept the smile off her face when her family was around. Carol would start to see a steady decline after the passing of her sister who was her lifelong friend. Carol was a born again Christian and is joined with her loved ones in Heaven. Services will be held for Carol on January 21, 2023 at 11am at Lakeway Baptist Church 5801 FM 1960 Humble, Tx 77346. Flowers may be received at the church starting January 19, 2023 10am to noon, January 20, 2023 10am to noon, and January 21, 2023 9am to 10am. Deliveries to be made at the back of the church signs will be posted ring bell for service.
