Carlyn "Bobbie" Fouts Myers, 88, of Ann Arbor, Michigan passed away Friday, November 14, 2014. Bobbie was a lifelong resident of Dayton before moving recently to Michigan to be with her son and his family.Service for Mrs. Myers will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton. Interment will follow at Magnolia Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday evening at the funeral home.She was born February 25, 1926 in Dayton, Texas to her parents, Floyd Fouts and Wessie Dobbs Fouts. Bobbie graduated from Baylor University and later received her masters degree from the University of Houston. She worked as business teacher at Dayton High School from 1957 to 1994. Mrs. Myers was inducted in the Dayton ISD "Wall of Fame" in 2000. She was known for her mark of excellence when it came to servitude. She had a sense of humor, educational integrity, and a pure love for her students. She gave of her time including summers, and holidays to better prepare her students. Bobbie was a Baylor Bear fan through and through, attending as many events in Waco as possible. She was a member of Pricilla Club and the First Baptist Church. Her gift from God was her ability to care for others. She will be truly missed by all her family and friends.Mrs. Myers was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Perry Myers, Sr. She is survived by her son, Perry Myers and wife Susanne of Michigan; her two granddaughters, Larissa and Marina Myers of Michigan; sister, Doris Turner of Houston;; nephew, Ken Turner; nieces, Shirley Bailey, Susan Pittman and Dee Ann Almeter; also numerous other family and friends.For those who desire memorials may be made to the American Kidney Foundation, www.kidneyfund.org or the American Cancer Society, cancer.org/donate.
