Carlos Earl Washburn

Carlos Earl Washburn, age 81, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Sunday, October 31, 2010. He was born September 13, 1929 in Cameron, Texas to Lawrence H. and Mattie Washburn who preceded him in death along with his loving wife, JoFrances Washburn; and his son Carlos Wayne Washburn.
Carlos Washburn was owner/operator of Washburn Construction Co. He was well known and loved throughout the community. He found great joy in spending time with his family and friends. He will surely be missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include his daughters, Judy Diane Washburn, Patsy Carleen Washburn; his son, Dennis Earl Washburn and wife, Lori; brother, Wiley Washburn; grandchildren, Jeffrey Washburn, Michelle Carey and husband, Niegel, Stephanie Corlett and husband, Michael, Brandon Alsobrooks, Colby Wells and Ashley Twitty; great-grandchildren, Destiny Lee, Jaxon Carey, George Carey, Stormy Alsobrooks; aunt, Avy Lee Roach; nephew, Kenneth Washburn; nieces, Susie Jo Croft and Tiffany Pyeatt; and dear friends, Gene Raub and Nell Gray; numerous other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 3, 2010, 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Bro. Carl Williamson and Pastor Virginia Bailey will preside over funeral services being held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 04, 2010 at Calvary Baptist Church, Cleveland, Texas with interment immediately following at Squier Cemetery, Cleveland, Texas. Pallbearers include Gene Raub, John Davis, Alfred “Pokey” Scott, Niegel Carey, Kenneth Washburn, Michael Corlett, George Carey, and Jaxon Carey; honorary pallbearers include Donny Wall, Lee Groce, Russell Roark, Lester Bittick, Frank Ridley, John Hales, and Dalton Ayers.
