Carl William Templeman (Zeke), age 79, of Shepherd, Texas and beloved husband of Mary Virginia Templeman, went home to Heaven to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ the Lord, in the loving presence of God. Children, proceeded in death by his oldest son William LeRoy Templeman (Surviving Spouse: Frances G. Templeman). Surviving children are David Wayne Templeman (Spouse: Regina Mae Templeman), Susan Kay Mullen (Spouse: Ronald Gene Mullen), Cindy Gail Trimpe (Spouse: Kevin James Trimpe), Carl William Templeman Jr. and Mary Jeanne Bass (Spouse: Danny Lee Bass). Zeke and Mary Virginia have enjoyed nineteen grandchildren with two preceded in death and eighteen great-grandchildren. Zeke is survived by 5 siblings, two preceded in death. On his wife’s side, 6 siblings remain out of 11 and they have numerous nieces and nephews. He retired from Caterpillar Tractor Company after 30 years as an Engine Expeditor in Mossville, Illinois. Zeke joined the army as a young man 17 years old. He celebrated his 18th birthday in Korea. He served in the 101st Airborne and was transferred to the 25th Infantry and served in the Korean War (1951-1952). He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 6899 of Trinity, Texas and the American Legion Post 445 of Bradford, Illinois. Zeke was a volunteer fireman and ran for City Council in Marquette Heights, Illinois. He was active in church as a Deacon for the Carlisle Baptist Church in Carlisle, Texas and was a Chaplain for Hospice in the Huntsville-Trinity area of East Texas. Zeke loved his family very much. Putting family first, his greatest hope and desire was for his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren to come to know Christ as their Lord and Savior. His wish was for many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and he would say, “I know we are to be fruitful and multiply, but I didn’t expect my family to do all of Gods replenishing.†(A bit of Humor) Visitation will be held at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, 303 E. Crockett St., Cleveland, Texas 77327, Sunday, January 5th, 2014, from 4:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Good Shepherd Baptist Church, 300 Church St., Shepherd, Texas 77371, Monday, January 6th, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside services will follow at Farley Chapel Cemetery, 12911 F.M. 2025, Shepherd, Texas 77371. A meal will be provided after graveside services at the Good Shepherd Baptist Church.
