Carl "Wayne" Jones

Carl “Wayne” Jones, 60, of Dayton, passed away Saturday, August 5, 2017, at his residence.

Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday, with rosary services at 1 p.m., at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with services concluding thereafter.

Wayne was born March 3, 1957 in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to parents; John Oscar and Theresa Mae Roy Jones, a former resident of Houston, and has resided in Dayton since 2008. He was a graduate of the Sam Rayburn high School and maintenance supervisor for Austin Industrial at Total Petrochemicals. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his father: John O. Jones, son: Jeremy Jones, brother: Ronald Jones, and sister: Carolyn Redd Jones. He is survived by his wife of 21 years: Mary Fenton Jones of Dayton, daughter: Katelyn Jones of Dayton, mother: Theresa Mae Roy Jones of Lake Charles, Louisiana, brother: Lee Jones and wife Sue of Houston, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
