Carl Smith

Carl Joseph Smith, age 88, of Moscow, Texas, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2010. He was born on December 11, 1921 in Evergreen, Texas to I.I. and Nancy Smith who preceded him in death along with his loving wife, Dorothy Jones Smith; son, Carl Wayne Smith; granddaughter, Liegh Michelle Knight; brothers, Frank Smith and Lawrence Smith; sisters, Iralee Majors, Aline Willett, and Dora Stephens. Survivors include his sons, Charles Smith and wife, Fonda, Eddie Smith and wife, Nancy; daughters, Linda Griffin and husband, Earl; step-sons, Allen Jones and wife, Sherian, Lonnie Jones and wife, Debi; step-daughter, Shirley Brock and husband, John; brothers, Oliver Ray Smith and wife, Pauline, Arnold Smith; sister, Pauline Alsobrooks; thirteen grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other cherished family members and treasured throughout the years. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 1, 2010, 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Pastor Carl Williamson will preside over funeral services being held 10:30 a.m., Monday, August 2, 2010 at Pace-Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas; graveside service, 1:00 p.m., Monday, August 2, 2010, Campbell Cemetery, Moscow, Texas.
