Carl Davis Bass

Carl Davis Bass, 78, of Crosby, Texas passed away on December 17, 2021 at the Mont Belvieu Rehabilitation. Carl was born September 1, 1943 in Hemphill, Texas to parents, Woodrow Bass and Christin Hogan Bass.

Mr. Bass had lived most of his life in Houston and was previously of the Lufkin and Hemphill area. He was a longtime employee of Mrs. Bairds before retiring. He served several churches as their minister during the years. Carl enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hunting. He loved God then his family.

Carl is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lynda Ilene Bass; son, David Wade Bass; and grandson, Anthony Kyle Bass. He is survived by his children, Loretta Lynn Alexander and Angela Sheree Hampton and husband Randall; brothers, Curtis Bass and Stevie Bass; sisters, Jerry Ann, Dorothy, Diane, Mary Louise and Debra; grandchildren, Bryan Bass, Jared Walsingham, Christopher Bass, Matthew Bass, Kalon Gill, Shelby Gill, Joshua Alexander, Shalissa Bass, Hannah Alexander and Hailey Alexander; great-grandchildren, Anthony, Angelina, Natalie, Zoey, Kayden and Zoey; also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Service for Mr. Bass will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 26, 2021 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton with Rev. Paul Mettlen officiating. Interment will follow at Magnolia Park Cemetery in Dayton. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m.
