Calvin Louis Chapman, 71, of Dayton, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 15, 2015, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 19, 2015, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Wells Cemetery in Liberty. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Saturday, at the funeral home. Services are entrusted to Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
Calvin was born April 9, 1944 in Plaisance, Louisiana, to parents; Earlist and Agnes Sam Chapman, and has been a Dayton resident for many years. He was a maintenance employee for Tanner Construction and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Mr. Chapman was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife: Leila Boston Chapman, son: Earlist Peanut Chapman, stepdaughter: Charlene Mitchell, stepson: Lewis Baldwin, granddaughter: Tyra Ramirez, great-granddaughter: Alanna Thomas, and also left behind to cherish his memory: Patricia Mitchell Etienne, Heyward Etienne, Quincy Hubert, Alexon Mitchell, Jurney Hubert, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
