Buster Whitmire

Buster Weaver “Buck” Whitmire, age 87, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2010. He was born in Cleveland on April 25, 1922 to parents, Sam and Emma Whitmire who preceded him in death along with his son, Buster Wayne Whitmire; brothers, Jr. Whitmire, J.D. Ferguson, Luther Whitmire; and his sister, Pauline Fuller. Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Sybil Juanita Whitmire; sons, Jimmy Glenn Walker, David Shirell Whitmire; daughters, Peggy Sue Pierce, Doris Jeanette Shaw, Rhonda Kay Moore; sisters, Millie Beard, Margie Robertson; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other cherished family members, and friends throughout the years. Bro. Monty Odom presided over funeral services held Friday, February 12, 2010 at Pace-Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Pallbearers include Jason Shaw, Willie Shaw, Justin Shaw, Travis Walker, John Pierce, Josh Pierce, Charlie Pierce; all honorably escorted him to his final resting place at Oak Shade Cemetery, Cleveland, Texas.
