Buster J. DuBose passed away at his home on Monday evening after a heroic fight with pancreatic cancer. A native of Crowley, Louisiana, Buster lived most of his life in southeast Texas and many of his family lived in the Tarkington Prairie/Cleveland area. Born to Ben and Daisy Tanner-DuBose, he was an only child. He graduated from Crowley High School in 1958. Buster married Ruth Broussard of Crowley, LA on June 8, 1957 who preceded him in death. He is survived by their two daughters Debbie Hoke of Galveston, Texas and Deloris Callaway of Marble Falls, Texas and grandchildren. Buster married his current wife Dianna Lynn Winkelmann-DuBose of Cleveland, Texas on March 03, 2007; they resided in Tarkington Prairie. Buster retired from Gulf States Utilities and after retirement he and Ruth owned and operated a produce market in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He worked in various positions including Thousand Trails, a concessionaire for the National Park Service. Visitation for Buster will be held Thursday, October 26, 2012, 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Pastor Mark Anderson will preside over funeral services being held Friday, October 27, 2012, 2:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 901 Plum Grove Road, Cleveland, Texas 77327
