Buddy Boy Brown, 63, of Wallisville, Texas, was welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus on December 14, 2024, surrounded by family.
Born on February 8, 1961, in Jefferson County, Texas, Buddy was the epitome of hard work and resilience. His dedication to his craft and the life lessons he imparted will be cherished forever. To meet Buddy was to gain a lifelong friend. He had an unmatched ability to connect with people and made everyone feel valued.
Buddy's home was a haven of warmth and fellowship, with visitors dropping by daily. His legendary gatherings were filled with laughter and joy, often revolving around his love for karaoke. Known as the "Karaoke King," he brought songs to life, and we can now imagine him singing joyfully in heaven.
Throughout his illness, the outpouring of love and stories from those he touched was a testament to his character. He was a mentor, a friend, and an inspiration to so many.
Buddy is preceded in death by his parents, Porter Morgan Brown and Dorothy Evelyn (Wright) Sonnier; his only son, Spencer Morgan Brown; grandmother, Roxie Wright, who lovingly had a hand in helping raise he and his siblings, known to them as "Momma"; siblings Joe E. Brown, Porter Morgan Brown, Jr., Roy Roger Brown, Marcia Hryhorchuk, Wanda Brown, Sandra Kay Lutz, and Paula Evelyn Robertson
He is survived by his devoted wife, Brenda Brown, who lovingly cared for him during his illness; sister, Marilyn Schmidt and husband Bill of Bridge City, Texas; best friend, Kelli Warren; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins and his cherished furry companions Bobby, Odie, Jax, and Finn.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a service to begin at 2:00 p.m. all at the Middleton Memorial Methodist Church in Wallisville located on the Wallisville Liberty Road. Pastor Jamie Lea will be officiating.
Pallbearers will be Gerald Clark, Hunter Gauthier, Alan Glisson, Keith Menard, Michael Conley and Joe Landa.
Buddy’s impact on those around him will never be forgotten. His legacy of love, friendship, and hard work will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know him.
