Bryan Lee Sterling, 77, of Dayton died Sunday, December 17, 2017 at home with his family. Bryan was born April 20, 1940 in Houston, Texas to parents O.B. Sterling and Mary Coburn Sterling.
Services for Bryan will be 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton with his lifelong friend, Rev. Lee Gruver officiating. Interment will follow at Magnolia Park Cemetery in Dayton. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
Bryan was a graduate of Dayton High School in 1958 and lived in Houston for 29 years before moving back to Dayton in 1991. He was retired from Boral Brick Company. Bryan was an avid shooter and was very active cowboy action shooting and he collected belt buckles. In his free time Bryan enjoyed installing formica using the art he learned from his father. He loved watching old westerns and most of all spending time with his grandchildren.
Mr. Sterling was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Natalie Flynn and grandson Clarke Flynn. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Amy Reidland Sterling of Dayton; two daughters, Lori Minzenmayer and husband Brian of Austin and Rachel King and husband John of Kingwood; sister, Betty Williamson and husband Chuck of Atascocita; grandchildren, Kristin Minzenmayer, Ellen Minzenmayer, Melanie Flynn, Hannah Figer, Elise Figer and Toby King; numerous nieces and nephews; caregivers, Deborah Williams, Vernita Rivon, Shirley Dickerson, Lynn Williams, Anastasia Dickerson and Daphne Dickerson; also other relatives and friends.
For those who desire memorials may be made to the charity of your choice in lieu of flowers.
