Brian Russell Daugherty, M.D., of Crosby, Texas, who was born on April 5, 1967 and lived in or around Houston, Texas most of his earthly-life, went to be with the Lord on April 24, 2010. Brian was a graduate of Klein Forest High School, attended the University of Hawaii, University of Houston, and graduated from Texas Tech University’s Health Science Center’s School of Medicine. Brian founded and established Lake Houston Family Medicine in Huffman, Texas. Brian loved people, animals, all things in or connected to water, and life which he lived to the fullest. Brian was preceded in death by his grandparents: Otto & Janet Mielke, C.E. Daugherty, Jr., Mary Charlotte Daugherty Trunnell, Hershell Trunnell, and Ebon Hopkins; uncle O. Lawrence Mielke, aunt Ann Mielke, uncle Richard Rockett, brother John Daugherty, and cousin Nancy Kragh Martin. Brian is survived by much family and many loved ones, including: Jillian Daugherty, daughter, Ellyssa Daugherty-Dixon, granddaughter, Nancy Daugherty Langdon, mother, Dr. Robert Langdon, stepfather, C.E. “Bud” Daugherty III, father, Arnette Daugherty, stepmother, David and Catherine Daugherty, brother and sister-in-law, Stacy Daugherty Bayer, sister, David Nowak, stepbrother, Judy Nowak, stepsister, Charlotte Daugherty Rockett Frazier, aunt, cousins: Janet Mielke Doil, Scott Mielke, Rick Rockett, Randy Rockett, Rob Rockett, Rebecca Rockett, David Kragh, Mark Kragh and their immediate families, nieces and nephews: Candace Bayer, Ashley Howell, Hannah Bennett, Jackson Bennett, a special loved one Victoria Cox, in-laws: Capt. Joseph and Carolyn Selby, Betty and Jody Thompson, William Bernath, Jr., Joela, Randy, and Mathew Maddox, Jimmy and Christie Bennett, special friends, including: Charlie and Jeanette Respess, Patrick Platzer, Ron Oda, Chris Campbell, and Joe King Carrasco, as well as numerous other family, loved ones, and friends. A Memorial Service for Brian will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2010, at 2:00 pm at Tiki Island Chapel, at 835 Tiki Drive, Tiki Island, Texas 77554.
