Brenda Kay Norris Hill

Brenda Kay “MeMe” Norris Hill, 55 of Devers died Wednesday, December 5, 2012 in McAllen. Mrs. Hill was born December 18, 1956 in Liberty to parents George W. and Opal Neuman Norris. She was a lifelong resident of Liberty County and had worked 22 years for the American Rice Growers in Devers. She also had worked for the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office for 8 years. Brenda was a member of the First Baptist Church in Devers and the Hull-Daisetta Young Farmers. Service from Mrs. Hill will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rick Edwards officiating. Interment will follow at Norris Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday evening at the funeral home. Brenda was preceded in death by her father, G.W. Norris and her son, Eli Stuart Hill. She is survived by her husband of 37 years: Dean H. Hill of Devers; her son: Benjamin Hill and wife Tonya of Linn, Texas; her mother: Opal Neuman Norris of Liberty; her grandchildren: Brody Hill, Lorelai Hill, and Codie Marie Hill; her sisters: Alice Rolke and husband Marshall of Dayton, Annita Josh and husband Larry of Kountze, Juanita Fox and husband Jim of San Antonio; her brother: Wilson Norris and wife Ginger of Crockett; also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
