Bobby Leon Thomas

Bobby Leon Thomas, 75, of Liberty, passed away Monday, February 15, 2016, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 18, 2016, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Fairlawn Cemetery in Liberty. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Bobby was born December 6, 1940 in Stamps, Arkansas, to parents; James Clemons and Mary Helen Wade Thomas, a former resident of Louisiana, and has resided in Liberty for the past four years. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and former employee of the Sabine River Authority. He also enjoyed fishing, gardening, and barbequing.


Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and brother: Marvin Ray Thomas. He is survived by his wife of 53 years: Connie Jean Pafford Thomas of Liberty, sons: Bobby Leon Thomas, Jr. and fiancé Becky Hill of Liberty and Tony James Thomas and wife Vicky of Liberty, sister: Linda Sue Staples of Baytown, grandchildren: Miranda McCarty, Krystal Thomas, Brittni Thomas, and Audrey Thomas, great-grandchildren: Gilbert Moreno, Jr., Savannah Moreno, Colby Moreno, Trey McCarty, Jennifer McCarty, Emmaleigh McCarty, Nicholas McCarty, Tanner McCarty, and Tristan Thomas, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
