Bobby Joe Houston, 70, of Dayton, died Friday, January 11, 2013, at the San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Palms Memorial Park in Dayton. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Bobby was born January 2, 1943 in Hope, AR, a former resident of Houston, and has resided in Dayton for the past 21 years. He was a graduate of the Sam Houston High School, attended the University of Houston, a former employee of Brown & Root/Austin and Dayton Electric, and a member of the Kenefick Southern Baptist Church. He also enjoyed fishing, gardening, hunting, woodworking, and spending time with his family. Mr. Houston was preceded in death by his wife of 33 years: Sandra J. Houston, parents: Betty Houston Cogdell and Ronald, brother: Jimmy Biddle, and grandmother: Edith Houston. He is survived by his daughters: Samantha Collinsworth and husband Gene of Dayton, Sherry Polvadore and husband James of Wylie, and Stacy Rozell and husband Paul of Spring, brothers: Harlan Biddle and Wayne Biddle, grandchildren: Tony Topping, Bobby Topping and wife Kelly, Kaitlyn Collinsworth, Kimberly Collinsworth, Jessica Polvadore, Shelby Polvadore, Jacob Rozell, and Nicholas Rozell, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
