Bobby E. Clifton Sr

Bobby Eugene Clifton Sr was born April 28, 1947 in Houston, Texas to parents, Robert George Clifton and Pauline Walden Clifton. He passed away January 28, 2025 in Cleveland, Texas at the age of 77 years. Bobby proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corp from 1967 to 1971 during the Vietnam War. He worked many years in the construction industry at ExxonMobil as a supervisor. Bobby’s greatest joy in life was for his family. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and son. Bobby will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him and loved him. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert George Clifton. Bobby is survived by his mother, Pauline Walden Clifton; beloved wife of 57 years, Irma Clifton; daughter, Lisa Burns and husband Robbie; son, Bobby Clifton Jr and wife Teresa; brothers, Lonnie Clifton and wife Angie, Roger Clifton, and Glenn Clifton and wife Ramsey; grandchildren, Robbie Burns and wife Alexis, Chelsea Smelley and husband Ryan, Lane Clifton and wife Makayla, Zachary Clifton and wife Courtney, Kaycie Ansley and husband Zachary, and Conner Clifton and wife Kailey; great-grandchildren, Evelyn Burns, Maverick Clifton, Brooks Smelley, Tate Clifton, Brazos Burns, Cole Smelley, Tucker Clifton, Lainey Clifton, Beau Clifton, and Baby Clifton coming in June. 

Visitation will be in the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, January 31, 2025 from 6-9pm. Funeral Service is scheduled for Saturday, February 1, 2025 in the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel at 10am with Pastor Chester Holloway officiating. Burial will follow in Ryan Cemetery with military honors provided by the United States Marine Corp. Flag presentation will be by Specialist Clifton, Conner United States Army. Pallbearers for the service will be, Robbie Burns, Ryan Smelley, Zachary Ansley, Lane Clifton, Conner Clifton, and Chelsea Smelley. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Lonnie Clifton, Roger Clifton, Glenn Clifton, Zachary Clifton and Kaycie Ansley.
