Billy Joe Judkins

Billy Joe Judkins, age 76 of New Caney, Texas, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2015. He was born December 27, 1938 in Saratoga, Texas to parents Addie and Robine Eugene Judkins who preceded him in death along with his brother, Jewel L. Jones. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Barbara J. Judkins; daughter, Cynthia Broadus; sons, Ronald Judkins and Robert Judkins; sisters, Edna Sanford and Nora Douzar; brother, Horace L. Jones (JR); grandchildren, Sydney Judkins, Hannah Judkins, Morgan Broadus and Hunter Broadus; great-grandchild, Bethany Broadus; numerous other relatives and friends. Mr. Judkins was a great family man that loved his family. He graduated from M.B. Smiley High in 1957, then retired from the City of Galena Park in 2004. He liked to fish, play dominos and hunt on occasions. Reverend Shannon Lewis will preside over funeral services held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Embrace Fellowship Church, New Caney, Texas. Interment will follow at Phelps Cemetery, Thicket, Texas. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Embrace Fellowship Church, New Caney, Texas.
