Bigie Guy Jones

Bigie Guy Jones, age 80 and a resident of Livingston, Texas, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2013. He was born in Gary, Texas in 1932. He is preceded in death by his parents John Henry Jones and Maggie Pearl Jones; his children’s mother Juanita Jones; daughter Susan LaFran Jones; and two brothers James Jones and Gilbert Jones. He was a heavy equipment operator by trade working for various construction companies. His love for his family was a deep and abiding one; he will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. Survivors include his wife Rose Jones; son Billy E. Jones; daughter Cynthia Gardiner; sister Mattie Jo Williams; grandchildren Scott, Ruby, Dick, Terri, Tracie, Cathy, and J.J.; numerous great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, step-children Cathryn, Mary Ellen, Ann, Leslie, Rose Lee, James, and Pamela; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other treasured relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Sunday, May 19, 2013, 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Bro. Melvin Holifield, Troy Moore and Pam Howard will preside over funeral services being held Monday, May 20, 2013, 10:00 a.m. at Pace-Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas with interment following at Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens.
