Funeral services for Betty Lou Cowart Street, 81, of Willow Springs, Texas will be held Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Coldspring, Texas with Pastor Reagan Cooksey officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 6, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., in the First Baptist Church in Coldspring, Texas. Interment will follow at Carter Cemetery, Willow Springs, Texas.

Betty is survived by a loving family including her three children, Ginger Jenke and Gary of Willow Springs; Brad Street and Kim of Willow Springs; and Kenneth Street and Rhonda of Oakhurst; her six grandchildren, Hannah Williams and Craig of Livingston; Adam Jenke and Mary of Coldspring; Casey Street and Jessica of Willow Springs; Savannah Golson and Seth of Willow Springs; Kelsey Quintanilla and David of Porter; Mycahla Street and Kirill of Oakhurst; five great-grandchildren, Elijah, Tessa, and Samuel Jenke; Claire Quintanilla; and River Golson; brother; Calvin Cowart and Cecilia of Staley; Bennie Cowart and Kathy of Staley; sister Bessie Glos of Belaire; sister-in-law Lizzie Mae Barnes of Huntsville and Birdy Jo Blalock of Huntsville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Street, parents, and eight brothers and sisters.

Betty was born in Staley, Texas to parents J. B. and Callie Mae Cowart. She graduated from Cold Springs High School and went to work in Houston. She was united in marriage to James Street in 1955 in Willow Springs. They resided there for the remainder of their lives. Betty was a stay-at-home wife and mother. She enjoyed her cattle, cooking and gardening.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Coldspring or to the charity of one's choice.
