Betty Jo Pinkard Wilson, 89, of Liberty, passed away Monday, June 20, 2016, at the Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 25, 2016, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 27, 2016, at the Houston National Cemetery in Houston. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
Betty was born December 10, 1926 in Richland, to parents; Bill and Pearl Bankston Pinkard, a former resident of Conroe, and has resided in Liberty since 1961. She was a partner in the Nana’s Bo Peep Clothing Store, former employee of City Florist, a member of the Rebekah Lodge, and attended Heights Baptist Church. She also enjoyed crocheting, travel, gardening, and reading.
Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 54 years: Lonnie Wilson, and brother: Buddy Pinkard. She is survived by her sons: Millard Wilson and wife Denise of Huffman and Allen Wilson and wife Elva of Arizona, daughter: Kathy Koch and husband Chuck of Schulenburg, sisters: Catherine Swink of Alvin and Bobbie Ann King of Spring, grandchildren: Melanie Dietert and husband Dustin, Travis Wilson and wife Lauren, Derek Wilson, Sabrina Wilson, and Raquel Wilson, five great-grandchildren, also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
