Betty Jo Westmoreland Jackson, 84, of Dayton passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at home surrounded by her family. She was born August 18, 1925 in Golden, OK to parents Norbet and Constance Folsom Westmoreland and had lived in Dayton for over 70 years. She was a graduate of Dayton High School and a member of the First Baptist Church, Lambda Alpha Sigma, Priscilla Club, and Magnolia Ridge Country Club. Mrs. Jackson had worked for Sterling Oil Company and Sterling Funeral Home before her retirement. Services for Mrs. Jackson are 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 11, 2010 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chris Trousdale officiating. Interment will follow at Magnolia Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5:00 to 9:00 Thursday evening at the funeral home. Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters: Sherry Thomason and June Westmoreland. She is survived by her husband of 64 years: Drew Jackson of Dayton; son: John Drew Jackson and wife Melanie of Baytown; daughter: Rachel Jackson of Alexandria, VA; grandchildren: Sarah Jackson, Kathleen Wheeler, & Alexa Jackson; brother: Norbet Westmoreland and wife Ann of Dayton; sister: Margaret Jamison of Houston; special friends: Bobbie Myers of Dayton and Brian Townsend of Las Vegas, NV; also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and her cats.
