Betty Jane Lane

Betty Jane Lane was born June 9, 1935 in Longview, Texas and died May 30, 2012 in Livingston, Texas. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Pam and Marvin Calvert of Coldspring, Texas, Patricia and Eddie Regester of Palestine, Texas, Phyllis and Jerry Blizzard of Dripping Springs, Texas, and daughter Stacie Underhill; grandchildren Brian Calvert, Jeremy Calvert, Jeff Nation, Jennifer Sims, Jacob Blizzard, and Sabastian Chambers; nine great-grandchildren; brothers Richard Powell, Dewey Powell; and sister Sarah Grayson. She is preceded in death by her husband James Lane; her father James Lester Powell; mother Edna Jane Marable Powell; brothers C.B. Powell and Don Powell. She lived life with beauty and grace and a heart full of love. She was kind and giving, sweet and loving, tender hearted, and deeply devoted to her family. She enjoyed homemaking, painting, gardening, and cooking. She loved the Lord Jesus Christ. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held Friday, June 1, 2012, 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Coldspring, Texas. Pastor Ken Parsley will preside over funeral services being held Saturday, June 2, 2012, 10:00 a.m. at Pace-Stancil Chapel, Coldspring, Texas with interment at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Coldspring, Texas. Pallbearers include Brian Calvert, Jeremy Calvert, Jeff Nation, Jacob Blizzard, Sabastian Chambers, and Bruce Sims.
