Betty Cucco, 78, passed away peacefully in Dayton, Texas on July 7th, 2024. Betty was born to proud parents Thomas Howard Jordon and Emma Mae McMurtry Jordon on September 14th, 1945.
Betty’s life was marked by a fulfilling career with Lockheed-Martin, a position she held for 38 years. In her free time, Betty was renowned for being a green-thumb, and could oftentimes be found outside, tending to her garden. She also liked to collect glassware, always looking for new figurines and treasures to add to her collection.
Above everything else, Betty loved to spend time with her family. To Betty, there was no greater joy than being able to spend time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Howard Jordon and Emma Mae Jordon; brothers, Thomas Jordon, Robert Jordon; sisters, Geraldine Hughes, Rose Jordon, Ann Manshack.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Angelo Cucco; children, Angela Kay Preston and husband Trey, Douglas Wayne Cucco and wife Tracy; brother, Mickey Jordon; grandchildren, Shelby Cucco, Crystal Bodie, Kaylan Thompson, Lily Lara, Thomas Preston; great-grandchildren, Rylee, Reagan, Ridlee, Hayden, Braden, McKinley, Braven, Kylee; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A visitation for Betty will be held at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton, Texas on Thursday, July 11th from 5 pm to 7 pm. A graveside service is to follow at Concord Community Cemetery in Rye, Texas on Friday, July 12th at 10:00 am.
