Betty Ann Martin

MARTIN   Betty Ann Martin, age 75, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2011.  She was born April 5, 1936 in Hermitage, Arkansas to parents, Kyle and Onie Inez Thornton who preceded her in death along with her brothers, James Thornton and Bobby Thornton. She leaves behind a huge, close-knitted family of sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews and all their kids.  Also, friends beyond measure from long ago to just a few days ago.  They were all special to Betty. A special blessing goes out to Dr. Glen Berwick.  Their relationship goes back almost 25 years ago, and she always had faith in the care he provided. Her memories are left to her loving husband of 55 years, Lewis LaVert Martin; and her daughters, Vanya Rhea, Martha Buckner, and Brenda Colquitt and husband, Joel; sister, Margarett Hollingsworth and husband, Steve; grandchildren, Carissa Magras and husband, Brandon, Case Mitchell, Abbey Mitchell and many other loving and caring family members. The family will welcome family and friends Saturday, September 10, 2011, 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas.  Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 11, 2011, 2:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks contributions be made to Splendora Countryside United Methodist Church, In Memory of Betty Ann Martin, P.O.
