Beth Jan Carson

Bethany J. “Beth” Echols Carson, 62, of Dayton, died Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at the San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 2, 2011, at the Palms Memorial Park Cemetery in Dayton with burial following thereafter. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Beth was born March 15, 1949 in Glen Rose, to parents; C. T. and Vista Godfrey Echols, a former resident of Houston, and has resided in Dayton for the past 34 years. She was a graduate of the Reagan High School class of 1967, a homemaker, and enjoyed traveling. Mrs. Carson was preceded in death by her parents and brother: Jim Echols. She is survived by her husband of 35 years: Gary Kit Carson of Dayton, sister: Joyce Stephens and husband Frank of Canyon Lake, sister-in-law: Sandy Echols, nephews: General, Cotton, Willie, and James, nieces: Paula and Leigh Ann, and numerous other relatives, and friends.
