Benjamin Joel Keen

Benjamin Joel “Pooh Bear” Keen, 2 years of age was granted his angel wings on Thursday, May 31, 2012. He was born March 29, 2010 in Kingwood, Texas to parents William Mitchell and Joely Jannine Keen. Benjamin Joel’s life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. His gentle smile, tiny fingers and baby soft skin brought so much joy to his family. Although he was still small and frail, he gave us all such courage and hope and reminded us of the preciousness of life. Little “Pooh Bear” enjoyed music, story books and cuddling close to those he loved so much. Benjamin is survived by his loving parents Mitchell and Joely Keen; grandparents William and Laverne Keen; sisters Brittany Keen, Shelbie Pickering, Ashlie Pickering; brothers, Jordan Keen, Brandon Keen, Brandon Pickering, Jonathan Pickering, and Caden Pickering; and one nephew Ryder David Sipe. The family will welcome friends for visitation Sunday, June 03, 2012, 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Bro. Carl Williamson will preside over funeral services being held Monday, June 04, 2012, 1:00 p.m. at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Graveside services will be held around 2:45-3:00 p.m. at Rosewood Cemetery, Porter, Texas.
