Beatrice "Pug" Faulkner Copeland

Beatrice “Pug” Shaw Faulkner Copeland, age 90 of Cleveland, San Jacinto County, Texas, was born October 13, 1926 to William Lafayette Shaw and Mirtie Olivia Hickman Shaw in San Jacinto County, and died in her home in San Jacinto County about 200 yards from her birthplace.

Pug lived her entire life in the Cleveland, San Jacinto County area where she and the father of her children owned and operated a grocery store, then an appliance store. After retiring she loved helping raise her 3 granddaughters, nieces and great-grandchildren, as well as gardening.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, O.D. Shaw; sister-in-law, Imogene Dalton Shaw, her son, Jerry Glen Faulkner, and husband, Jesse Weldon Copeland.

“Pug” is survived by her daughter, Rebecca “Becky” Faulkner Capers and husband Jimmy; daughter-in-law, Mary Faulkner; grandchildren, JymeBeth Capers McBride and husband Brade, Charidy Faulkner Risner and husband Brent Sherman, Anna Faulkner Steele and husband Bryan; great-grandchildren, Jacelynn Head, Brade McBride, II, Bobbie June McBride, Justin Harrell, Jerry Harrell, Jayden Risner, Cole Woodruff, Ava Steele, Paisley Steele, Gatlin Steele, Hunter Steele; one stepson and five stepdaughters; special great-granddaughter Courtney Capers Robison; special nieces, Wendy Purswell and Ramona Luke; special nephew, Scott Purswell; special friends, Crystal Terry, Jude Rhodes, Mildred Lee, Belinda and Tippie; numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Services will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 18, 2017 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Interment will follow at Montague Cemetery, Cleveland, Texas.
