Barry Lynn Crumbley

October 14, 1954 — January 9, 2016

On October 14, 1954 a baby girl was born to the late Wesley James Thomas, Sr. and Geneva Ethel Thomas in Brenham, Texas. She was the third oldest out of 14 children. She attended Brenham Jr. High School where she later dropped out in the 8th grade to help her parents support the family and also help raise younger siblings. She later moved to Houston, Texas and in the year 1978 she met and married the love of her life of 38 years Lester Crumbley. In their 38 years together only one child was united with them a daughter named Dorothy Lynn Crumbley. Barry was an active member at Little Flock Baptist Church in Rayburn, Texas where she attended Mission, and was an Usher. She loved to sing, cook, go fishing, and helping those who were in need.On January 9, 2015 she departed her life to be with the Lord. She was greeted at Heavens Gates by her parents Wesley James and Geneva Ethel Thomas, one brother, two sisters, her grandparents and her grandson. She leaves to cherish her wonderful memory a loving husband of 38 years Lester Crumbley, daughters: Dorothy Lynn Crumbley Daniels, Betty Sue Vickery and Melissa Dawn McCartey, five sisters: Gwendolyn Fay Dotson, Geneva Mae Thomas, Sherlie Marie Thomas (David) and Yvonne Gail Thomas, seven brothers: Roy Campanella Thomas, Larry Edward Thomas (Deanna), Kenneth Earl Thomas, Jackie Elvis Thomas, Kelvin Kennedly Thomas, Avlia Garcia Thomas, and Tracy Todd Thomas (Shantaye), one grandson (who will make his arrival July 2, 2016).
