Barbara Fay Ford Trevathan, 75, of Dayton died December 26, 2012 in Liberty. She was born February 4, 1937 in Dayton to parents Dudley Maurice and Pearl Remkes Ford. Barbara was a lifelong resident of Dayton and attended Immaculate Conception Catholic School in Liberty until eighth grade then attended and graduated from Dayton High School in 1955. She worked for the City of Dayton for numerous years then for Dr. David Arnold until her retirement. Service for Mrs. Trevathan will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jon Stouffer officiating. Interment will follow at Palms Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 12 until 2 before the service on Saturday. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and husband Doyle Trevathan. She is survived by her daughter: Zöe Marlene Norcross of Dayton; her son: Jay Truett Norcross of Houston; her sister: Linda Pearl Ford of Denton; her brother: Dudley Maurice Ford of Jackson, Mississippi; grandchildren: Jennifer Lawrence Wolffarth and husband Shawn of Dallas; Lindsay Lawrence of Liberty; Todd Lawrence of Austin; Lara Lawrence Berendt and husband Matt of Austin; Melissa Norcross Wolf and husband Ryan of Atascocita; Stephanie Norcross Stanley and husband Bret of Pearland; Jordan Norcross of College Station; and Dylan Norcross of College Station; great-grandchildren: Kade Chakrabarti of Liberty, Grant Wolf and Reid Wolf of Atascocita, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
