Barbara Ann Shelton

Barbara Ann Shelton was born March 11, 1953 in Hammond, Indiana to parents, Lawrence and Helen Turner Piening. She passed away May 7, 2024 in Coldspring, Texas at the age of 71. Barbara and her husband Paul were married for 19 years and owned and operated the Paradise Gardens and the Paradise Grill in Coldspring. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister, and had a host of friends in the Coldspring community. Barbara will be greatly missed by everyone that knew and loved her. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Helen Piening; sister, Yvonne Piening. Barbara is survived by her husband, Paul Shelton; son, Dan Burke and wife Jennifer; daughter, Amy Kralek and husband David; grandchildren, Tyler Kralek, Dylan Kralek, Daniel Burke, Blake Rusek, Nick Benedict, Madalyn Engelhardt; brothers, David Piening and Donnie Piening; sister, Sharon Ashcraft. 

A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, June 1, 2024 in the Pace-Stancil Chapel in Cleveland, Texas at 3pm with Pastor Dalton Currie officiating.
