Barbara A. Denby Rabata, 72, of Dayton, died Monday, April 16, 2012, at the san Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 20, 2012, at the St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church with burial following at Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and rosary services at 7 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Barbara was born October 14, 1939 I Galveston, to parents; Orvil L. and Betty Cline Denby, a former resident of Houston, and has resided in Dayton for the past 38 years. She was a graduate of the galena Park High School class of 1957, a retired secretary for Borden Milk after 12 years of employment, and a member and former church secretary of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. She also enjoyed playing Bunco and tending her flowers. Mrs. Rabata was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 47 years: Anthony “Tony” Rabata of Dayton, brother: Donny “Don” Denby of Tomball, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
