Ava Jewel Majors Williams, 91, of Tarkington died peacefully Thursday, February 23, 2021 in Cleveland. She was born February 21, 2012 in Tarkington Prairie to parents Johnny Aaron Majors and Edgeworth Morris Majors and had been a lifelong resident of Liberty County. She had been a member of the Rebecca Lodge of Liberty, had worked for Sav-Way, Peoples and Franks. Ava loved to garden, sew and be with her family.
Services for Mrs. Williams will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 26, 2012 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton. Interment will follow at Ryan Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. until service time on Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Williams is preceded in death by her parents, Johnny A. Majors and Edgeworth Morris Watson; nine brothers and sisters and grandson, Chuck Slankard. She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Robinson McDaniel of Tarkington Prairie; son, Franklin M. Robinson of Grand Prairie; four grandchildren, Ken Hooper, Scott Robinson, Kim Peoples, and Jill Robinson; seven great-grandchildren; five great great-grandchildren;sister, Mae Fregia of Batson; family friend, Ann Tucker of Tarkington Prairie; also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
