Audrey Spence

Audrey Merle Hatcher Spence was welcomed into the arms of her Savior on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at the age of 80.

Audrey is survived by her sons, Lamar Shane and wife Jill of Daisetta, TX, James Spence and wife Victoria of Oak Ridge, TN; grandchildren, Shelley Shane of Dayton, TX, Jared Spence and wife Chelsea of Walling, TN, and Matthew Spence and wife Paige of Mt. Juliet, TN; great-grandchildren Ella, Luke, and Kate Spence; sister, Stevie Oldham of Shepherd, TX; and numerous extended family members. She is preceded in death by her parents, Steve William Hatcher and Edda Willie “Nanny” Johnson, her sisters Freda and Patsy, brother Edward “Buddy”, and beloved husband, Clarence James Spence.

Audrey enjoyed painting, dancing, and running the flea market circuit. Her faith was also a very important part of who she was and she loved spending time with her family.

Funeral services will be officiated by Rev. Lamar Shane and Rev. Charles Pierce and are scheduled for Thursday, February 2, 2018 at 10:00 am at Hull-Daisetta Assembly of God in Daisetta, TX with interment to follow at Guedry Cemetery in Batson, TX. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. All are welcome to attend for a joyful celebration of life.
