Arnold O. Mitschke, age 93, of Splendora, Texas, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2012 in Humble, Texas. He was born January 31, 1919 in Sugar Valley, Texas to parents Gus A. and Esther Mitschke who preceded him in death along with his loving wife Mae Redwine Mitschki; and her son Tony Lyn Mitschke. Mr. Mitschke was a Brick Mason in trade and well known for his fine work throughout his community. He enjoyed his family life; a home full of love and laughter. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his daughters Antoinette Matthews and husband Elster, Denise Dean and husband Kenneth, Deborah Richardson and husband Bobby; son Patrick Mitschke and wife Judy; sister Laverne Cloniger; ten grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren and thirteen great-great-grandchildren with two on the way; numerous nieces, nephews and other cherished family members and treasured friends.
Visitation will be held Monday, February 6, 2012, 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Bro. Gary Shiflet will preside over funeral services being held Tuesday, February 7, 2012, 10:00 a.m. at Pace-Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas with interment at Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens. Pallbears include Larry Cloniger, Jack Martinelli, Ricky Cloniger, James Dean, Mickey Martinelli, and Adam Hunt.
