Antoinette "Ann" Mitschke Matthews, 75, of Splendora, died Friday, October 17, 2014, at the Memorial Hermann Hospital of The Woodlands.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens in Cleveland. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland.Ann was born September 17, 1939 in Houston, to parents; A. O. "Tony" and Violet Mae Redwine Mitschke, and has resided in Splendora for the past 40 years. She was a homemaker, member of the Splendora Church of Christ, and a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She also enjoyed fishing, the beach, going to the theatre, and her \\"Sister Days\\".Mrs. Matthews was preceded in death by her parents: Tony and Mae Mitschke and brothers: Patrick and Tony Lyn Mitschke. She is survived by her husband of 54 years: Elster C. Matthews of Splendora, Sons: Charles Atwood and wife Donna of Humble, Jimmy Atwood of Splendora, and James Matthews and wife Ruth of Conroe, sisters: Deborah Richardson and husband Bobby of Splendora and Denise Dean and husband Kenneth of Splendora, grandchildren: Amanda Preece, Christine Ogle, Courtney Reese, Billy Atwood, Stephanie Robertson, Derrek Atwood, Ruben Ramirez, and Rachelle Carter, great-grandchildren: Zoe Robertson, Kamryn Preece, Anthony Preece, Kyra Reese, Avery Robertson, Gunnar Matthews, Melanie Preece, Lillian Ogle, Molly Robertson, Hunter Matthews, Matthew Preece, and Ellie Robertson, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.For those who desire, donations may be made to the Splendora Church of Christ in Anns name at P.O.
