Annie Auteen Dixon Sparks, 90, of Dayton peacefully passed away September 13, 2018. She was born August 1, 1928 in Waldo, Arkansas to parents Walter Dixon and Carrie Milwee Dixon.
Services for Mrs. Sparks will be 2:00 p.m., Monday September 17, 2018 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton, Texas. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until service time at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Magnolia Park Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Roy Payton, Keith Burmaster, John Butcher, Christopher Robertson, George Butcher and Michael Torzewski.
Mrs. Sparks was a longtime resident of Dayton and had previously lived in Arkansas and Houston. She enjoyed fishing, playing bingo and cards. Most of all she loved being with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vernice Sparks; sons, Hervy and Baby Sparks; daughter, Judy Sparks; sons-in-law, Curt Fletcher and Henry Butcher. She is survived by her children, Jane James and husband Bill, Redia Butcher, Brenda Burmaster and husband Kyle, Cathy Fletcher, Rick Sparks and wife Kay; thirteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; sisters, Sue Rabar and husband Dennis, Betty Hood and husband Ron; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
