Anna Marion, age 57 of New Waverly, Texas, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018. She was born March 5, 1960 in Houston, Texas to parents Pierre Eugene Marion, Jr. and MaryAnn Lewis Marion who preceded her in death.
Anna, a free spirit and dedicated farmer, was currently worship leader at St. Luke’s Presbyterian Church in Cleveland, Texas. She served as Director of Media and Communications at First Presbyterian Church of Houston, she was Program Director at Serenity Retreat for Healing and Spiritual Renewal and founder of Impact Partnership of Theophostic Prayer Service.
Survivors include her daughters, Acklin Kotchavar and Cara Kotchavar and fiancé John McCullar; brothers, Henry “Hank” Marion and wife Marilyn, and John Paul Marion and wife Stacie; sisters, her twin, Emily Marion Nelson and husband Joe, and Suzanne Yvonne Davis and husband Eric; grandchild, King Royce Arroyo; numerous nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 26, 2018 at New Haven House of Prayer, 6262 Creekside Creekside Green, The Woodlands, TX 77389.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Anna Marion to Serenity Retreat, 953 Memory Lane, Bellville, TX; St. Lukes Presbyterian Church, PO Box 326, Cleveland, Tx 77328 or to the Estate of Anna Marion, P.O. Box 2, New Waverly, TX 77358. Donations to the estate will be used to fulfill Anna’s dream of having a retreat location in Old Waverly.
