Anna Marie Feik Morris, 90, of Dayton, died Sunday, March 16, 2014, at the San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at the First United Methodist Church in Dayton with burial following at the Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon, Wednesday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Anna Marie was born September 8, 1923 in Chicago Mound, KS, to parents; Harrison and H. Mary O. Paulsen Feik, and has resided in Dayton for the past 68 years. She was a graduate of the Emporia High School class of 1939, attended Emporia State College, taught school at Agnes City, was member of the First United Methodist Church, and a volunteer for the Society of St. Stephen’s. She also enjoyed sewing, cooking, and gardening. Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 40 years: Wayne E. Morris, grandson: Ronald E. Chance, and sisters: Florence Ritchey and Marcela Harder. She is survived by her daughter: Pat Chance and husband Lloyd of Woodville, son: Jerry Lee Morris of Dayton, sisters: Harriet Shellenberger and husband Virgil of Kansas and Jean Adams of Kansas, three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Dayton or the Society of St. Stephen’s.
